Dear Margaret is a French-Canadian restaurant in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. The head chef, Ryan Brosseau, set out to create an intersection between quality Midwestern ingredients and French-Canadian cuisine. Inspired by the cooking of Brosseau’s grandmother, the owner of Dear Margaret wanted a logo reminiscent of vintage Pyrex motifs and the hearty food that would fill them. The colors, design and font choices are meant to evoke a warm, cozy feeling that instantly remind customers of home.
