Tarot reading is a skill. A practice.
I use tarot cards to tap into my intuition. Just like any other muscle, intuition has to be exercised.
Every Sunday I make a call to my measly 600 Instagram followers for their weekly questions. These one-card tarot readings help me strengthen my practice. Think of it as a HIIT workout for my intuition.
This practice exposes me a ton of cards. Someday we might even get to all 72!
If it ends up helping others with wisdom from the Universe, even better!
Should I stick to my original plan or move on?
King of Cups
This King sometimes indicates a challenge where boundaries need to be enforced. When you’re making a decision, keep control of your emotions and do what’s best for your long-term goals.
Kings are always indicators of paternal energy.
Your father, a father, maybe a guide or mentor will have some insightful advice here.
Or, maybe you’ve already received their advice and you’re hoping for an alternative perspective.
I’d suggest tapping into your calmest, most patient self. Your strongest and wisest self.
That’s where you’ll find the answer.
Should I move?
Death Reversed is a pretty clear ‘No’! But I’m sure this reading won’t sway your decision.
Death Reversed is a sign you’re right on the cusp of big, meaningful change. Since it answers this particular question, I don’t think that change is moving. It’s certainly not running away!
Let go of what’s holding you back so you can dive right in!
Something big is close!
How is my past impacting my current professional situation?
Ten of Wands Reversed
The 10 of Wands is making a few appearances lately.
Tens are often endings, this card could signal the end to a struggle is coming soon.
The 10 of Wands is also a sign that you’re doing too much, carrying too much.
In this case, I think that means baggage.
The past is what you make it – or really – how you spin it.
Clear away some of the messiness, release some baggage from the past to help you get ready for the future. If people ask you about your past, keep it light and stick to the lessons you’ve learned.
If it doesn’t serve you, don’t mention it.
Will this be the end of this situationship? For real this time…
Two of Cups Reversed
Reversed the Two of Cups is a big indication of a falling out.
That could be a breakup, a breach of trust, or the path to an estrangement. It’s a good sign to call it quits.
Life is what you make it. Cups is the suite of emotions and heart.
If you want to amek space for this person, you can.
If they wanted to make space for you, they could.
If it’s what you really want, you can turn these cups over and refill them. But when everything is all poured out, is that really what you want?
Will the 49ers win the Super Bowl???
Page of Pentacles Reversed
I wouldn’t bet on it!
Reversed this Page is full of hesitation, he’s not risking his coin.
He probably knows it’s best not to bet against Taylor Swift.
Weekly Tarot Reading Basics
Numbers hold a lot of meaning in tarot.
I’m no numerology expert but part of learning tarot is understanding the symbolism of numbers. Each card in the deck corresponds with a number. Many of them work together or have layers of meaning when added together. A key to quick readings is understanding how the numbers of each card influence the reading.
Each tarot card is packed with symbols.
The illustrations on each tarot card are beautiful and intricate. They’re also chock-full of symbolism. The real key to learning tarot is committing motifs to memory rather than individual cards. Master the motifs, and you’ll master the deck.
This Weekly Tarot Reading Series is composed of quick reads to curious Instagram followers. I am always looking to improve as a Tarot Reader and this is a practice exercise. The goal here is to quickly find an intuitive answer. I want to be able to trust my gut reaction is the right reaction.
Hey, I’m no doctor but if they can call it a practice, I can call it a practice. Weekly Tarot Readings give me the opportunity to grow. As an added bonus, I get to connect with people who might never otherwise reach out. I believe tarot is a tool to tap into divine guidance, not a roadmap definitively telling you what to do.
